Police allege 229 sex assaults: victims drugged

POLICE have revealed two women assaulted during prayer sessions may have been drugged.

Officers spoke out this morning after two men were arrested for allegedly being involved in 229 sexual assaults in Sydney under the guise of removing evil spirits.

The men, part of Sydney's Greek Orthodox and Coptic Orthodox communities, are about to be charged.

A 61-year-old Dulwich Hill man, Tony Golossin, and a 38-year-old Enfield man, Arthur Psichogios, were both arrested by detectives this morning and taken separately to Burwood police station shortly before 9am.

In a dramatic twist, the 61-year-old man old was taken from Burwood Police Station on ambulance stretcher after suffering chest pains.
